The wicked man puts his trust in gold, and the violent man, in blood; but the word is the hope of the wise.

Thanks, Ramil. I have one further question for you. I am not familiar with zhe the way you use it. I guess it means something like "on the other hand" in English, but is there a rule about where it comes in the sentence?

Wrong word order. The correct ones:
(original one)
(but this one sounds a bit clumsy, because it crashes the rythm of speech, although I guess this is correct grammatically).
The pair -- ЖЕ + its referenced word should go before the general reference.
"же" in this meaning is pretty similar to "though", "but", "while", etc.
It comes after any word to put the hard sense stress to it. E.g.:
-- Though the red book has been lost somewhere.
-- Mushrooms grow in forest. But grass can grow anywhere.
And yes, "же" can be thought as "on the other hand". It opposes the word it comes after to something else from whether the context or the sentence.

If Ramil’s one doesn’t suit you, though it’s basically the same.
Re: Please edit this translation for me.
Re: Please edit this translation for me.
крови — жестокий, ["—" used instead of hidden "верит"]
["—" used instead of "is": надежда мудрого есть слово]
