Thread: Russian Police Reforms: What do Russians think?

A lot of times has passed since the 2011 police reforms. I wanted to stop by and check if the reforms have finally started to work.

I was wondering what do Russians think of the police reforms?

Has your trust in the police increased?

Has anyone had any interactions with the police since the reforms, was it a positive interaction or a negative interaction?

Are there any law enforcement agencies in Russia that people have a lot of respect for? For example the Investigative Committee of Russia (Следственный комитет Российской Федерации)?

What do people think of the Investigative Committee?

I had no relations with police before reforms.
I had no relations with police after them.
I have no it now.
So... I have no opinion about their effectiveness.

I think it is 99% of cases.

P.S.

However, I am not driver. So, road police is out of my competence.

Was anything really changed, except for renaming them to полиция? I have no idea.

Supremacy of Law - it's not about Russia. So nothing has changed, I think.
I remember multiple refusals to register petty crimes from the police, which my acquaintancies had been receiving, but I'm not sure how many of them were after 2011.
