Thread: Counting to 2000....:D

I was wondering if someone could give me the correct pronunciation of the numbers : сто, двести, треста, четыреста, пятсоть, шестсоть, семьсоть, восемьсот, девятьсот, тысяча, and whatever the word is for 2000, im not sure how its spelled, dont want to take a stab at murdering the word. THanks.

There is no ь at the end of 500, 600, 700

2000 = две тысячи

let me get a crack at these numbers...how do they sound?

You must stress "-сот": пятьсот. Here "пять-" will sound like "пить". Further: шестьсот. Here "шесть-" will sound like "шис".
