Really? Maybe it should be changed back then! Changing the names of places seems to be a speciality in Russia.... ! They are probably getting sick of that name in Kaliningrad! No changes for over 50 years... and the Germans would be delighted too.... How about it!

As far as I know, the name of that bolshevik doesn't make too much sense as a name for the city...

None whatsoever. Königsberg in Preußen was the capital of Eastern Prussia and was founded long before the nazis.
