(THNX TO ALEXEY )

Ok слышишь ? be yourself and you'll learn russian eventually if you want it bad enough.

So I am not as experienced as you are...

Are you really? My Russian friend Olga Nikolayevna Boudarina who is from Rostov na donu, thinks they may be her ancestors... (I won't type in Russian using English letters. It looks too strange. I'll do some though.)

I can't translate this sentence because the words are not in my dictionary... ochen ploha....

Sure I am not as experienced as you and your friend Alyosha here, but I speak Russian pretty good for only having studied for five years...everyone says so... even my Russian professors and my Russian professor who is an actual Russian, says so... his name is Seriozha, or at least he lets me call him that because we are friends. I am not hopeless and neither is my Russian.

Anyway, my name is Serafine. I call myself Svetlana because that's the name of Nikolai Bukharin's daughter, and I am fond of Nikolai Ivanovich. ee davai budyem ha "vi" Ya ne hachoo skazat "ti". Ya ne znayoo vass. Mi ne znayem drook drooga! Shto c vami?

And it is great that you wrote to me in Russian! The more words I can write down, translate and memorize, the more I will learn spasiba.

Я тоже люблю speek on bed Englesh for houres.

So he's not a stranger any more.

На самом деле, svetlana, i was making fun of you... But I'm sorry. You seem like a nice person, but your transiteration was just aweful. No i'm not related to Putin, and i was not born in Alma ata, but Karaganda .

Well if you want to learn russian, good luck, but my advice is to not write in transliteration anymore, it looks really bad.

And btw, Im a huge fan of stalin, but i don't call myself Soso.

I know writing in Russian using English letters looks really bad. but hey, what can I do? I have not learned yet how to program my computer to type Russian on the internet and I am no computer genius, so what to do?

Anyway, why were you making fun of me? What was that for?
And I never thought you were related to Putin.
Your a Stalin fan? That's funny...a Stalinist and a Bukharinite... By the way, why are you such a huge fan of Stalin? That reminds me...You should speak with my internet friend Hector Marroquin...he is a huge stalinist leninist and all around bolshevik.
By the way, you call yourself dogboy...what is your name? (Oh I wish I could type in Russian! I envy all of you people!)

Alexey, I will reply to your message later. the reason being is that I am a busy university student. I appreciate however that you write to me in Russian. It will help me very much Thankyou so much!

The problem is that you're not really transliterating. You're writing (vaguely) phonically. I rather loathe translit, but if you're going to translit, you ought to at least do it correctly:

    thanks but no thanks...

Thank you Lindsey for the information, but no. I will type Russian only if I can do it in cyrillic, it looks too strange approximating English letters to imitate Russian sounds...dogboy is right. Anyway...hmmmmm.

    calling yourself Soso...

I never said that because you are a Stalin fan that you have to call yourself by a name that has smth to do with him. I chose to do this b/c I like Bukharin, but you can do what you like.
Why not call yourself Vasily or Yakov? No, just joking....
(For anyone who didn't get that those were the names of Stalin's two sons).
