Russian pen-pals for target practice!

I have literally only just begun to teach myself Russian, so it will be some time before I will feel brave enough to practice on you. But I'm not looking for a teacher, just a patient and like minded individual willing to bear witness to my first faltering steps towards speaking Russian. Most of all I seek friendship.

I am a 35 year old single mum, writer and editor who enjoys motorbikes, WWII history, psychology and reading who and lives in a beautiful part of Wales, uk.

I'm a 31 years old mum, I have no linguistic education - I’m an engineer, so I will not be able to offer any scientific explanations about Russian language but will do my best to explain at least something (after reading some of the topics at the forum I understand that I don’t know Russian at all ) My son is 2 years old and I’m going to try to teach him English, so I’m interested in learning typical words and phrases used by mums when talking to their children.
