Smile Russian friends who speak English?

Since I have too much trouble right now learning Russian, could I meet some ppl here at the site who speak English?

I hope this is appropriate; I understand this is primarily a place to learn languages?

Many of you know about my computer problems.

I just want to chat with Russians.

I am not sure where to begin.

I have a group on my profile as well, where I discuss my life as an American.

Some ppl did join, but I am also shy and dont posess that many social skills.

Between my language barrier and my shynesss...this can be difficult for me.

    I just want to socialize.

I was told that some ppl on here did speak English.

    thanks,

    Carol

Hey, Carol. I’m native Russian and am fluent in it. My English is intermediate, though my spoken English is…uhh…some poorer. Actually improving my English is the reason for my being here. So if you are ok with my coming from Ukraine, please, feel free to get in touch. I would only like to remark that I can hardly imagine learning a foreigh language without listening to it. So installing sound in your computer should be the top-priority task.

P.S. I like your approach to making up nicks, Carol. Yours is very informative.

somewhat poorer / a bit poorer / slightly poorer

    Just not "some poorer"

Carol, what's the problem? You're speaking like you're totally lost. Is it what you're trying to achieve? Yes we do speak English and we are happy to help you "socialize", learn our language or whatever. Just be yourself and don't be soooooooo shy, although some girls may find it pretty intriguing

Dude, chillax there, we're all humans here. Just go ahead and take us by storm. We're happy to hear from you!

Что-то Carol молчит. Похоже, у нее накрылся не только звук.

    Sincerely.*

I wouldn't correct misspells unless they were egregiously bad

I was confused; did not know if this was a site only to learn Russian or a site for making Russian friends and/or to learn Russian.

I will make an effort not to be so shy. I am very careful about appropriateness. To a fault. (laughing out loud; lol)

    Thanks,

    Carol

Welcome aboard, come chat with us sometime! Deb - тётошка из Америки
Вот потому, что вы говорите то, что не думаете, и думаете то, что не думаете, вот в клетках и сидите. И вообще, весь этот горький катаклизм, который я здесь наблюдаю, и Владимир Николаевич тоже…
