    aux ending on journal

    In the plural, journal becomes journaux.
    Is this a rule for all nouns ending in -al?

    Yes, but as always in french, there are exceptions :
    bal, carnaval, c

    I know this might be sillyish advice but eventually you just kind of sense it by ear. Although that said I still make "aux" mistakes. People do understand though
