Thread: Program for helping in learning languages.

Привет, я делаю программу для изучения языков. Что она из себя представляет, вы можете понять из нижеследующего текста. А здесь я, собственно, хотел попросить помощи в переводе этого текста т.к. сам хорошо перевожу только с английского на русский, но не обратно. Можно не переводить с нуля, а взять мой корявый вариант и подправить. Разбиение на абзацы не смысловое, а просто для удобства.

Данная программа предназначена для чтения параллельных текстов. Как видите, большую часть окна занимают две панели. В них загружается текст двуязычной книги с помощью команды "Файл - Открыть...". Сейчас в них загружена книга содержащая текст, который вы читаете. Попробуйте навести курсор мыши на это предложение. Как видите это же предложение, но на другом языке выделилось на противоположенной панели.

Так же обратите внимание на верхнюю панель - она отображает слово находящееся под курсором, его транскрипцию и перевод, если, конечно, это слово есть в словаре. Отсутствующие слова можно самостоятельно добавлять в словарь. Данная книга находится в папке с программой и называется demo.ext. Демонстрационный вариант книги создан для того, что бы служить образцом для тех, кто захочет создать свою двуязычную книгу.

Кстати, ее можно создать на любых языках мира, пусть Вас не смущает тот факт, что в демонстрационном варианте используются только русский и английский. О том, как сделать книгу можно прочитать в справочной системе. Также не забудьте посетить сайт программы - на нем можно скачать книги сделанные другими пользователями. Адрес сайта указан в диалоговом окне "О программе", а также в справочной системе.

The text of the bilingual book is loaded into them with the help of the command "File - open... ". Currently the book containing the text which you read is loaded in them. Try to point the cursor of the mouse on this sentence. As you can see the same sentence, but in the other language, was highlighted in opposite panel.

Also pay attention to the top panel - it displays the word under the cursor, its transcription and translation, if this word is exists in the dictionary, of course. Absent words can be added in the dictionary by yourself. This book located in a program folder and called demo.ext. The demonstration variant of the book is created for being as a sample for those who will want to create the bilingual book.

By the way, it can be created in any languages of the world, let you are not confused with that fact, that the demonstration variant used are Russian and English only. You may read in the help how to create the book. Also don't forget to visit a site of the program - there you can download books made by other users. The address of a site is specified in a dialog box "About the program", and also in the help.

If yes, "for those who would like to practice creating a bilingual book."

I think maybe you mean transliteration

I meant transcription, but technically it can be transliteration, I add this word too.

Is it a practice exercise?

No, I meant, that user may look through source code of this book and make own book by analogy. I think I will remove this sentence, because I start making programm for creating books and availability of example not need anymore. I try to finish all till july and post download link here.

In that case I don't know what you mean here. "Transcription" just means a copy, and you have already said that the top panel shows the selected word.

Hm... In Russia the word "transcription" means the text written with the help of symbols of the international alphabet. And all English-Russian dictionaries have a transcription - it stands after a word in square brackets. Didn't you have transcription in Russian-English dictionaries? How you named its?

I see. You can call it a "phonetic transcription". Transliteration would also mean approximately the same thing.

In the US very few people are familiar with the International Phonetic Alphabet (IPA), so often dictionaries will have their own phonetic alphabet or spelling system. It can be a bit confusing.

Ну вот, как и говорил, управился до июля. Управился с альфа-версией программы, но ей уже можно пользоваться. Зачем я выкладываю альфу? Дело в том, что создание программы - очень трудоёмкое занятие. На то, чтобы сделать всё задуманное может уйти ещё год, а за это время изучающие иностранные языки могли бы сделать уже дюжины двуязычных книг. Собственно в этой альфе хорошо проработан механизм создания и открытия двуязычных книг - он уже не будет меняться, так что все книги созданные сейчас будут полностью совместимы со всеми будущими версиями программы. Надеюсь найдутся добровольцы, которые захотят внести свою лепту в создание этой программы. Требуются следующие виды помощи:
1. перевод интерфейса программы и справочной системы на родной язык.
2. создание двуязычных книг.
3. наполнение словарей.

Well, as I sad, I finished till July. Finished the alpha-version of the program, but it is already useable. Why I distribute an alpha? The reason in that creation of the program is very labour-consuming work. In order to run up to release-version may took a year, and in this time studying foreign languages people could make dozens bilingual books. Actually in this alpha-version the mechanism of creation and opening of bilingual books is well worked and it will not vary any more, so all books created now will be completely compatible with all future versions of the program. I hope there will be volunteers who will want to contribute own mite in creation of this program. The following kinds of the help are required:
1. Translation of the program's interface and help system into the your native language.
2. Creation of bilingual books.
3. Creating and appending of the dictionaries.

Меня беспокоит такой момент. Вот запускаю я программу, окно программы не разворачиваю и открываю туториал. В окне “EN” навожу курсор на предложение: “You may read in the help section how to create…” Но справа, в окне “RU”, этого предложения не видно. Поскольку русские предложения обычно длиннее английских, то есть некоторая асинхронность текстов. Сейчас проблема решается легко: достаточно развернуть окно или чуть-чуть прокрутить левое текстовое окно. Однако по мере увеличения длины текстов, смещение будет нарастать. Не возникнет ли ситуация, при которой тексты «разбегутся» настолько сильно, что читать их станет неудобно?

Половины синхронизированы с учётом того, что тексты могут быть разной длины. Синхронизация происходит по самой верхней видимой строчке т.е. для верхней видимой строки слева, перевод всегда находится в верхней видимой строке справа, не зависимо от того насколько "разросся" текст справа (ну или слева, всякое бывает).

Кажется я понял, почему русский язык называют "Великим и Могучим". Слово "обратить" можно записать 75 различными способами!!! Семьдесят пять!!! Обратить, обращу, обратим... Кошмар, не начал бы делать эту программу, никогда бы не подумал, что владею таким сумасшедшим языком. Вы всё еще хотите учить русский?
