    worth of activities

Even if your particular presentation takes a half days worth of activities, vary the presentation materials every twenty minutes.

I can't fully understand that part. It's obviously means "long", but I don't understand why the author put "worth of activities" there.
Could you translate it in Russian?

It's a pretty common expression in English:

    An hour's worth of work.
Two days' worth of walking to the village.
You can basically omit the "worth" and get the same exact meaning.

Ok, but why "half days" and not days, and why "half days of activities" and not just "half days"?
    In Russian it sounds awkward.
    ... занимает дни (?) активной деятельности (?) ...

And why "a half days"? It's plural, isn't it? Or I'm just combining wrong groups of words?

kalinka, could you translate this sentence into Russian the way you see it?

    Well, first it should be:

A half day's worth of activities

Well if only "presentation takes a half day" means that the presentation itself takes a half day to do. While "a presentation takes a half day's worth of activities" means there are alot of different activities to make the presentation, and they together spend half a day...

Ok, my translation attempt (прости меня, Пушкин!)

    презентация занимает пол день деятельностей

Sorry, my previous post didn't have the apostrophes in there. It should be an hour's worth. No pluralization...

Меня это смешение видов здесь не смущает. Может быть, потому что исправляйте это процесс, требующий внимания и времени, а оставьте (в покое) - устойчивый оборот, даже если в покое только подразумевается.

Barmbie. Who has egg on his face now, eh? eh? :P

    Я так и понимаю:
НСВ - просьба (заходи! покупайте! исправляйте)
СВ - приказ (уйди отсюда! дай мне сок! отсавьте!)
