    Wow, how many abbreviations is it necessary to know to live without discomfort in an English speaking country?

    In russia we know "НДС, ПМЖ, ПМС, ГАИ(ГИБДД), МВД (УВД, ОВД), РФ, ММВБ, КВН, КВД..."
    There are many others, but I mean the most widespread ones, which are known to nearly all people.

    I was a member when I was a kid. They do a lot more then that. They had a nice pool, basketball court, had sleep over's. All kinds of stuff, and they really didn't push the religion.
