    What basically is basically ?

    ... basically what I wanna say is …I seem to have heard the word basically used more than a dozen times during only one TV program on a Discovery Channel today. Even to the untrained foreign ear it sounded unnecessary in the context, so I dare say it’s grown to be another parasite word in English. Am I right?

    Technically, .. umm.. you would .. err.. use "basically" .. umm.. a little less often than .. err.. either "err" or "umm."
