    wack

I was watching "Analyse This!" film and noticed that those mobsters used the word "to wack" a lot. I guessed it means "to kill", for example, Vitti's father was wacked in a restaurant or somebody wacked someone else. I wonder, is it usual argot word only among "Italian" mafiosi, or is it all-American slang, or in any English-speaking country? What else you may say with this "wack" word?

You are right, it is the jargon of Hollywood movie mobsters. In everyday use "whack" means to hit something. Like "I whacked him in the back of the head with a rolled-up newspaper." "Whack" is also an ebonics word, but don't ask me what the hell it means. There is also "to whack off" of course, which I believe the English call "wank"

Concerning this "wank". Is it mainly British? What do you usually do, do you wank or do you jerk off?

Lol, if you're British you do the first one and if you're American you'd do the second

    Or toss, if you're British.

Yesterday in English, my teacher wrote names for detentions on the board and then one boy said, "If I'm good, will you rub me off?" Ah, fun times...

'Rub off' - два значения: erase from blackboard/masturbate to climax.
    А если отнять еще одну?

Well since all the other questions have been answered, i will stand up for my ebonics homies in the house.

I think they just spell it wack, (maybe cuz they can't spell). But it means like "Stupid". For example,

Tyrone is walking home from the store with a 40 in his hand and a mac10 on his jacket, a cop stops him for "no reason" and and arrests him, and claims he does not know how the gun got in his jacket, and the alchohol is not his. After he is arrested, tyrone says to himself "Ni**a, that is wack!"

As for the Ebonics meaning, it can mean "That's BS", "That's crazy", "That sucks", and "That's the breaks! That's the breaks!"

And "rub out" means to kill someone! What is the English fixation with making slang words for sex the same as brutal murders? I think it all must have started with all those Shakespearean death<->orgasm, penis<->sword metaphors.

It's quite simple. Rub out is what you do to a word written in pencil, or a picture in pencil, to remove it. Doing it to a person is removing them, i.e. killing them. The act of masturbation involves rubbing, obviously! These aren't connected.

All the languages I know have this duality: "obscene" sex-related words may also be used for something intense. Homicide being just one example of something intense.

I know about "rub out" - my Longman's dictionary contains this phrasal verb, but it doesn't contain the obscene meaning of "rub off". I should've guessed to look it up in a slang dictionary...
    Thank you all for explaining.

It's not standard slang, it's just open to deliberate misinterpretation.
