    pulled off that hit

    Help urgently needed

I need to translate a text with an excerpt from the talk between a civilian guy (a shrink actually) and a mobster.

    civ. guy:
You have no real friends or partners. There's no crossover or sharing of guys between the crews.

    mobster:
And who and how do you think pulled off that hit on the Colombians?

How do you think, what of the numerous meanings of "hit" (including the "snow"-drug and bank robbery) does he mean here? What is "to pull off" here? And why this hit was on them? There's no other context, just this sentence...

"pulled off" - was successful at
"that hit" - attempt assassination / murder
"on the Colombians?" - "on the Colombians?"

"Who do you think was successful at killing (attempting to kill) the Colombians, and how did they do it? We don't know from this excerpt if the Colombians were actually killed but they were certainly successfully attacked, and in the context of successful mafia business, probably some were killed.

Since they "pulled it off" the hit was successful.

I agree that 'hit' here most likely refers to an attempt to kill, but it doesn't always have to. They could have been just stealing from the Colombians.

I think the point of the sentence -
And who and how do you think pulled off that hit on the Colombians?

-is that the mobsters worked together to pull of the hit, thus disproving the shrink's hypothesis that they don't cooperate with each other. So I think we do know that the hit was successful.

    Thank you a lot.
So, as I get it, they together (he and another mobsters) did something bad with the Colombians (as a third party).

The mobster is telling the other guy that he killed the Colombians. They didn't do it together.

To me it looks like from the first line, that the mobster and some other people (from another 'crew') killed the Colombians. The mobster is making a point that crews do share guys.
