I am very grateful for reminding him about it when you met him.
Sounds a bit strange to me because you cannot "remind him" unless you "met him". But it may be possible in certain contexts.

The driver stopped the car and said the engine was not working and it needed to be checked. "Out of order" sounds strange here.

If you are talking about a train car for passengers then passenger car is the correct word. It doesn't sound strange at all. I agree that 'out of order' sounds strange in referance to an engine but I couldn't think of anything that fit better. It makes perfect sence, it just isn't usually said that way.

Oh, if it is a train then "passenger car" is correct, however, I'm not sure but I have a hunch that most people would just say "window of the train"

There are carriages (usually used instead of "car", at least here in Ol' Blighty [England]) that aren't for passengers?
