Please help to expose a scammer.

I recently got some offer from Internet, they try to make me pay some money, but it seems to me it's a scam. They correspond with me in English, pretending to be officials of some American company, but I suspect they don't even speak English perfectly. Thus, I doubt. Who can check the following and tell me is it a real English or not?

All information about our products is situated on www.@@@.com Send the name of program which you interested. If we produce this program we'll can sell it to you.

    Yours faithfully @@@
    The manager of @@@ company

(I suppress names in the text).

Particularly, I suspect "we'll can" expression. "Can" is never used with "will" in English, isn't it?

    Thank you a lot.

I agree that it is not worded like a native speaker wrote it. Red flags for me are "situated" and no article before "program".

also, 2 words are missing in "program which you interested" (should be (the) progran in which you are interested").

An illiterate native English-speaker could have written "your" instead of "you are", but not just "you".

All information about our products can be found on our website (is situated on sounds unnatural) www.@@@.com Send the name of the program which interests you (you interested is incorrect). If we can produce this program then we will (we'll can is incorrect) sell it to you.

    Dear Mr Ball!
Thank you for answering my questions.
I understand you are a manager of a big American programming company. However, let me correct your English a bit.

All information about our products [is situated on -> not a native expression, better is to say something like "can be found at"] www.usprogrammer.com Send the name of [+the!] program [which you interested -> you are interested in]. If we produce this program [we'll can sell -> never use "can" in future, say "we can sell" or "we'll be able to sell" if you need future anyway] it to you.

Побольше занимайтесь языком, мистер Тим Болл! Тогда и клиенты потянутся.

    Phone number.

BTW, the international phone calls are too expensive.
Maybe somebody of US residents can check if this is a real phone number?

The site is very strange. There is invisible top frame which does something odd. They're scammers, I'm sure

About the phrase "...you are interested in."

I was told in school that you should never end a sentence with the word "in". In spoken English, this phrase sounds perfectly normal. But in written text, it is probably better to say "...interests you."

Yeah, schools teach us: "Preposition is not a good word to end your sentence with" :P

Textbooks for ad copywriters, however, often recommend to use informal style. "Write as though you are talking to your buddy." So I don't think it is wrong to use informal style in a promotional letter like this. Illiteracy, on the other hand, is a big no-no.

this is nonsense. obviously something's rotten in denmark (sorry to offend anyone from there).

kwatts, I agree with translations.nm. in normal speech and advertising it is ok to end sentences with prepositions. What else do you want me to end a sentence with? You're not from Chicago, are you. ( <-- that is not a question.)

They did make a gross number of errors like this. I have found this to be common with spammers, even ones who claim to be American, though since America is aland of immigrants, you never know. I have had instructors, for classes other than languages, that have English language problems.
    I would have said:
    Dear prospective client,

You may find all the information regarding our products at (insert URL). If you are interested in any of our programs, please contact us. If it is available, we will quote you a price.

    Sincerely,

The way he wrote it also gives away his scam.

You can also do an email trace, which should give you some idea as to where it originated from. Or perhaps which local server that they used to connect to you through. There was a program that I was looking into a while back (don't really remember it now though), that if this particular person's computer was connected to the internet at the same time that you ran this locator program, then you would have their IP address. And from there, you could basically do an IP search and find out what city they were connecting in from. And if their IP related physical connecting location is far different than their listed (mailing) address location, then I would suspect something fishy.

    (IP = Internet Provider)

    For ya all people!
I was searching for a job in the Internet, and found this suggestion about what Bob has wrote us:

Being curious, i replied to the usprogrammer@yahoo.com, and eventually it was pure scam. So, please, if you notice some advertisements about job offers like that, BE CAREFULL!!! It can be one person writing from different email addresses, Regards,

That whole page looks like a scam. Using Google, I found a page for people discussing the investments he mentions. The person who owns that site also owns many others, and apparently has scammed many people. The full list of sites can be found here http://www.moneymakergroup.com/index.ph ... 6772&st=15

Second, I wouldn't trust a .com address to file any kind of visa for me. Is this the "package" you were talking about? ALWAYS look for a .gov address for this sort of thing.

I know this one was a .com, but stuff like this is one of the reasons I tend to distrust sites ending in .ru, .pl., .cz, etc.

EDIT: If you do want a Treaty Investor Visa, the US Government page is here: http://travel.state.gov/visa/temp/types/types_1273.html

EDIT2: From the website above, here's some proof this guy's a scammer:

Applicants for visas should generally apply at the U.S. Embassy or Consulate with jurisdiction over their place of permanent residence. Although visa applicants may apply at any U.S. consular office abroad, it may be more difficult to qualify for the visa outside the country of permanent residence.

Hmm.. it seems there is nothing you can trust in the internet I wasn't interested in visa information, I was just interested in getting these packages for doing surveys. At the web. site http://www.moneymakergroup.com/index.ph ... 6772&st=15
I found answers.. will try to expose them by e - mail. Can you recommend some tips? Do you read russian, Doc Faustus? if yes, i will show you what they wrote me.
