My versions, subject to correction by native speakers
1) I'd say, "so that he won't..." or "so that he doesn't have to..."
2) "so that he will/can correct them."
3) "so that he should/would/could correct them." The version with "should" sounds more formal, imho.
4) I'm surprised that he was there yesterday at 2 o'clock.
You name a specific moment in the past, so you should use the past tense.

A more natural way to express them might be...
1. I am going to tell him to go home so he doesn't have to wait for me.
2. I am going to give him the test so he can correct them.
3. I gave him the test so he could correct them.
4. I'm surprised that he has been there since 2 o'clock yesterday.

change I'll to I will and I'm to I am if you want emphasis.

Though, I have one more question: Is it correct:
"I have been working on this problem since 9:00 AM"
????
(Or it's maybe more reasonable to say "I have been working on this problem for 2 hours", (i.e. to use "for" instead of "since")
"I have been working on this problem since 9:00 AM" and "I have been working on this problem for 2 hours" are both correct.
