Thread: Russian radio

It rules! Now I got something actually interesting to listen to while playing Runescape (no sound unless you wanna pay 4.99$ a month ) BUT also helping my Russian at the same time . The good thing is I hear words I pronounce wrong and you hear how they pronounce things to help you to. The radio I was listining to the people were talking about the war on Iraq. Said something about France, Saddam, Iraq, and Bush ect...

BTW does anybody know how to turn up the volume? I have headphones in place of the speakers and I need the volume a little higher so its easier to understand.

I have the volume on max one the bar on the window but it still aint loud enough.

I can suggest one thing. My soundcard is SB Live! and it has its own control panel. I can make the volume very quiet there and I will not be able to make it loud on other bars (even if I will set it on max). Maybe your soundcard has settings something like these and you should find them instead of using "bar on the window"?

hey, are you talking about Русское радио ?? i used to listen to that all the time !!!!! it's in moscow, it's great, most of the music sucks, but the DJ's are hilarious... and yea, i was the runescape master, i had full run armour with a rune battle axe and like 4 sets of addy chest plates. tons of money, but that was liek 2 years ago when i sold my account to some dude for like 10 dollers... i forgotabout runescape till now.

I usually listen to The Voice of Russia, where is the one your talking about? The music also sucks on the one I listen to.

And you know what you reminded me off dogboy? I gave my old account (a account that could catch all fish and cook everything and could almost make mith legs) away for free to my cuz. And my cuz sold the account a day later for 20$ !

heres a list of radio stations. i usually listen to the first one, русское радио from moscow or, радио балтика. from saint petersburg (i like the first one better) .

i think they even have ones from like kazakhstan, and armenia. places i didn't even know they had radios. (so pravat doesn't call me an un educated punk that listens to too much radio, i know that most places in the world have radios, including kazakhstan and armenia, sorry for the inconveniance).

i like listening to the BBC russian broadcasts, they have a large amount of shows to choose from if you get bored with one, updated daily

http://www.webtelek.com has many stations to choose from. Video channels too! I use it a lot. Although the Newsreaders talk way to fast for me to understand everything.

you can download load the files (use the FTP link) which means you can listen to the same broadcast more than once to improve your understanding.

I used to play it a lot as well, but quit after thay introduced fatigue. By the way, Leon, I was a member for some time, and I loved it. $5 a month is nothing, most other MMROPGS charge more than that. I am going to try Runescape 2 after the official release.
