Thread: A questions for foreigners

I`ve posted a similar question concerning Russian music. There is another question I am very interested in: about cartoons in Russian. So, which cartoons in Russian do you like? And how many of them have you seen?

Last year I really enjoyed watching all four volumes of Masters of Russian Animation. It's actually quite an extensive collection of many types of animation besides cartoons. But the cartoon I thought was really funny is called Фильм! Фильм! Фильм!. That one was hilarious. Another favorite of mine is Hedgehog in the Fog (Еж в Тумане?), even though it's a little bizarre - and makes you wonder what controlled substances the animators were ingesting.

I guess чебурашка doesn't count... I haven't watched many Russian cartoons, they seem kind of scary and foreign to me, it might just be a whole different animation style than i was used to when I grew up (on American cartoons). For example ну погоди! I only found mildly humorous and жил был пёс was too slow for the fast-paced cartoons I am used to from my childhood. But чебурашка is all-round cuteness

I love "Жил-был пес"! When I was a kid it was one of my favourite cartoons, along with "Падал прошлогодний снег" and "Пластилиновая ворона".
