    Opera

Hello hello hello. A week ago I was listening to ClassicFM and they played a Russian folk-music type song. Now I'm too late to check it out on their website, so I was wondering if you could help me with identifying it. The only phrases I could really hear were 'Я люблю вас', 'я пою (для) вас' and at the end 'счастье'. I know it isn't much, but it was very operatic...

Russian folk and Russian operetta are the two big differences. (C) Одесcа
You should watch "Принцесса цирка" if you like operatta. There are real great opera voices.

    [/quote]

Heh...I believe there are several hundred songs that fit that description

I liked that one Я спросил у ясени song the terrible guy who couldnt sing was singing. Mainly because it was him singing. He also sang Ваше благородие.

Och, ne'er mind. I do know the difference between folk-music and opera, but let me explain: the singing was operatic, the music was operettatic, and there were some folky influences like balalaikas and such.
It was a stupid question anyway.
