    Dodgeball?

I was just wondering if Russian children played dodgeball in school like we American's used to be allowed to. Apparently our children are made of a material so brittle that they break when they are touched.

    I really liked dodgeball.

Not allowed to play it in American public elementary schools.

I read an article on why they took it out a while ago, but I don't remember where it was. It said something like the competitive thing excluded the weaker kids, and caused depression. But then again, shouldn't they take out things like spelling bees as well, because I don't think that the kids sign up for that, just as they don't sign up for P.E. It was a bunch of malarky , probably made by the same people who make those commercials for diet pills and say "It's not your fault your fat!".

Yeah, and they're not allowed to pick teams anymore during recess! Stupid politically correct standards...

Anyway, I don't know if they play it in school, but I have played dodgeball with Russian kids before - and it was their idea. So, I'd say that they do play it.

And they got to pick their own teams, too.

As long as there is still dodgeball in the world, it is a world worth fighting for.

No dodgeball in public elementary schools? hmmm...I actually asked my younger brother if he still plays it. andrew(5th grade) He says they're still playing it in P.E. and at recess. wow I guess texan youngsters are a made of something a bit tougher than the rest of the country Although he did say they cant choose teams for kickball. Now all of a sudden there are no longer any try-outs for sports teams either. thats just crazy!

Dodgeball is a deliciously barbaric childhood game, but do you know what was really great? Spongee Polo. Did anyone else have Spongee Polo at their elementary schools? It was a bloodbath every time!

Okay, onstensibly, the point of the game is to hit a ball into a goal. But you hit the ball with these sticks that look like giant q-tips, you know, like the things on American Gladiator? A staff with two padded ends. Of course the game immediately descended into a bunch of 8-year-olds beating the hell out of one another.

The gym teacher used to have us play it when it was rainy and we couldn't go outside for recess.

That sounds so cool. It's funny how when they put safety foam on stuff, it just tells the kids that it's alright to hit someone with it, because it won't hurt (as much)

Kids get hurt, it's a part of life, and grown-ups need to get over it. But that's just my opinion.

how about tetherball? Those things hurt so bad! The guys on the playground used to unhook them from the pole and pelt them at us... But because they were "padded" teachers chuckled and said "look at 'em run"

Did anyone ever do that whole jump rope thing in P.E.? You know with those cheap jump ropes that would break randomly and slap you in the face?

Yes. Indeed, I attribute the blame for most of my current psychological problems to jump rope and its wraith-like siblings - netball and modern dance.
    А если отнять еще одну?
