What's the Russian equivalent for "Joan"?

My name is Joan. It's an English name for a girl. When properly pronounced, it's "zhoun"; rhymes with bone, cone, zone, alone.
But people mispronounce it and say "ZHO-an". I'm used to it, so I just introduce myself as "ZHO-an".

What's the Russian equivalent of Joan? I do not mean, how do you spell it in Russian.
If I were born in Russia, what would my name be (that's equivalent to "Joan")?

    Thanks!

    Джоан, Джоан(н)а

The Russian equivalent is Иоанна (poetic and not used), or Жанна (quite common).
In Russian, all nationalities and their corresponding languages start with a lower-case letter.

That's nice! Thank you very much!

Yes, just like in "Joan of Arc".

    Thanks again!

BTW, you're English rederrings of the pronunciation are not very good. Zh does not in any way represent the English hard J sound. Furthermore Zh is how you write the Russian letter Ж in English. This Zh sound is the sound in pleasure, measure.

Spelling your name in Russian in order to convey the English pronunciation would be: Джоун.
Джоан is how you'd write "Joanne" i.e. jo-án

Hans.

No, in English it's "Hansel and Gretel" the same as the German (''Hänsel und Gretel")
