    its not russian, but close

my last name is Żelazek, its Polish (its dead in the Polish form, so here i post). I was told that it means 'made of iron', and i know that Żelazo/Железо means iron, but if you google Желез...you get a bunch of stuff about breasts...so i really dont know what to believe.

I can't help with Polish, but in Russian "Железо" is, yes, iron.

So "Żelazek" probably meaning "Iron-man" or someyhing like.

What you found via google is probably related to almost homonimic, but entirely different word "ЖелезА" (fem., stressed on А), meaning "gland" (internal organ).
