Can hotels provide the invitation for the visa?

Hey guys, I was wondering if you happen to know whether or not hotels in Russia can send the invitation to obtain a visa? I kind of need that for my visa application!

    Thanks!!

на лицето ми студено грях в надежда да превърна.."

Yeah, Usually they are who invite or sponsor you. You can call or email or fax them and they should fax or email you back the proof that you will stay with them (usually its after you book your room for X-days.) in the form of an invitation.

You then send that (or take with you) along with visa application, 2 (usually) passport sized photos, your passport, and whatever else may be required of you to the embassy (Don't forget the fee ).

If I'm missing something, someone please say so.

A hotel can only send you a vaucher as evidence that you have a place to stay in Russia but it's not an invitation (as far as I know).

I wonder in what country a hotel can send an invitation? It sounds kinda strange to me.

Seems I was wrong, some hotels can provide you with an invitation, at least it's said on their web sites...

Думаю, я перепутал Invitation and Voucherом. But they are pretty much the same thing, it's proof you have a place to stay in Russia (and if the FSB wants, they have an adress to check up on you).

Not exactly, sending you an invitation they guarantee you not only a place to stay but financial and medical support as well. For some reason they need both papers.
