Thread: help help!

OK i have been invited to stay with my friend Anastasija in Uzhnaya Moscow. . but i am going to go next year!! ok what will i need etc. .as i will be staying with them!?

Will i need a visa. . is there anybody i need to contact first or?

Help help please tell me all i need to know and not a general conversation here haha, also i will be leaving to go there from Britain

I wonder, what "Uzhnaya Moscow" mean.

Паша, находясь в Белоруссии очень просто узнать, что нужно для поездки в России. В крайнем случае можно зайти в любое турагентство.
И еще, очень некорректно после to going to (в значении собираться) употреблять глаголы движения типа: to go, to come, to leave. Достаточно просто употребить эти глаголы в форме Сontinuous

На самом деле, Паша живет в США И по-моему, ничего плохого в "going to go." Так не пишут в сочинениях и т.д., конечно, но в разговорном английском такое очень часто слышишь.

В России в разговорном языке тоже употребляют вместо местоимения "их" - "ихний", вместо глагола "послала"(ударение на первом слоге) - "послала"(ударение на последнем слоге) и т.д. Ничего плохого в этом тоже нет, но и ничего хорошего. Безграмотность распространена по всему миру. Немножко режет слух. Хотя главное, чтобы человек был хороший.

What do you find strange?

going to + motion verb is not remotely ungrammatical. I can't imagine where you got that idea. I'm a native speaker of English and an English teacher to boot.
On the contrary, had he used 'will' rather than 'going to' in that context, it would have been at best misleading.

I am very much surprised, because this rule I take from the textbook of grammar for Russian. And it seems to me, that phrase "going to go" is the same as in Russian "масло маслянное".

I don't read much, I've read only a few books by Salinger, Elmore Leonard, Johm Grisham. And I liked all of them.
