    Trying to Learn

Hey everyone. I'm really interested in learning Russian, and I know the alphabet and can pronounce things (or at least I think I can) but do any of you guys have ideas on any cd's that are good or just good ways to learn? I really want to get to know Russian, especially sicne I'm planning on going there in January.
Anyway, if any of you have ideas I'd really appriciate it!! Thanks!

    Shel

Make sure to buy a book that focuses on grammar(but not ONLY grammar), and comes with a cassete or CD too. Make sure not to buy only a CD or cassete like one of those "learn in your car" things, because they don't work. You might learn a couple words, but nothing improtant.

    Book and CD

I have this product called Living Language Russian. It very cheap for less than twenty five dollars and had three CDs, up to 90 lessons and starts you off with the alphabet going into grammer than taking you to conversation. The only draw back is that it doesn't come in laymen's terms, meaning that most of the explnation is hard to understand if you don't get the jest of formal English explantation.[/img]
