Thread: How long have you been studying Russian?

Just curious, that's all! (actually it's my pathological fear of appearing in any way slow in comparison to others)

I started in december, worked for 3 weeks, stopped until the holidays, and picked up again 3 months ago. So you could say I've been at it for 4 months.

And you people?

Since January, so 9 months. Still find a lot of it hard work, but i'm doing ok i guess.

Well I started during the beggining of this summer. But I didn't get any books till Aug 19. I wish I would have did that during freshman year because I had sooooo much free time. Now I'm in sophmore year and I have like no free time except during study hall.

Off and on, probably a total of about 6 months. (And I've never gotten past present tense verbs yet, or enough vocab.) Oh well

30 years. And I still find something new.

Oh! And you! I have been studying Russian for 30 years too, and it all started in Ural also. But I've been studying English for 20 years or so.

About two and a half years, and I'll have this semester and spring semester of Russian classes before I graduate. I don't really anticipate any further formal instruction after that.

12 years. Boy, does time fly...
