    Another Translation

I tried another translation. I am sure there are too many mistakes in this one. Because it was so diffcult. I hope you got time to check it. Best

1-People from an Iraqi village have a reason to celebrate. >>

У людей из Иракской Деревньи есть повод чтобы отмечать // Люди из Иракской деревньи есть повод праздновать

I have got problems deciding when to use чтобы and when to not. I d onot know if the russian words have a hidden "to" meaning within them. If they have what does the funciton of чтобы in the phrases? If I am not mistaken it also gives a "to" meaning.

2-A woman and a man got married.

    Одна женщина и один мужчина женились....I am sure this verb is wrong here, because;

    "to marry" is a verb that the Russian version confuses me. If I am not mistaken, there are two forms of "to marry" in Russian;

First one is for man who is going to marry to a woman and that verb is жениться
Second one is for woman who is going to marry a man and the verb is выходить замуж.

In Russian is there a verb that can be used for both and man?

2-But the interesting thing is that the woman is seventy years younger than her man. >>

Но что интересное в том, женщина семьдесять лет моложе чём своего мужчина.

Но что интересное в том, женщина семьдесять лет более молодая чём своего мужчина.

3-The 92-year-old man had a wife but she died and he became very lonely.

У девяносто летного Мужчин был жена, но она умерела вот он и стал очень одинокым

4-The young woman is happy with the situation too and she believes that it is her fate to be with this man

Эта молодая женщина тоже рада о положении и она веровает что, это её судьба, чтобы быть с этим человеким.

    Both versions are okay

    жена - жениться
    муж - выйти замуж

    So literally:
жениться - to get a wife
выйти замуж - to get a husband

It's a bit funny when people here mix up these two things and so they end up saying something like that:

Она поженилась - She got a wife (married a girl)
Он вышел замуж - He got a husband (married a man)

Those two mistakes could not be mistakes in some cases though

However, if we talk about two people who get married we use жениться variant

    Мужчина и женщина поженились

Also there is a nice verb meaning to get married in a church - венчаться. Works only when refering to both persons though

    Они обвенчались

2-But the interesting thing is that the woman is seventy years younger than her man. >>

Но что интересное в том, женщина семьдесять лет моложе чём своего мужчина.

Но что интересное в том, женщина семьдесять лет более молодая чём своего мужчина.
Но интересно то, что женщина на семьдесят лет моложе своего мужчины
Но интересно то, что женщина на семьдесят лет моложе чем её мужчина

    Both ways work.

4-The young woman is happy with the situation too and she believes that it is her fate to be with this man

Эта молодая женщина тоже рада о положении и она веровает что, это её судьба, чтобы быть с этим человеким.
Эта молодая женщина тоже счастлива и верит, что это её судьба быть с этим человеком.

3-The 92-year-old man had a wife but she died and he became very lonely.

Девяностодвухлетнему мужчине стало очень одиноко, когда умерла его жена.

Девяносто двухнедельный, Девяносто двухлетний , Девяносто двухгодовалый are all good words to know. Thanks

But why it is dative case?

It is required by the sentence: Ему стало одиноко. - (it) became lonely TO HIM. It is an impersonal structure due to the verb "стать". Other examples:

    Мне холодно.
    Тебе жарко.
    Ему смешно.
    Ей интересно.
    Мне стало плохо.
    Тебе стало хорошо.
    etc.

All of those sentences do not have any grammatical subject. It is like some condition occurs "to someone".

BTW, all the adjective you quoted are written as a single word (without spaces), and the first part comes in genitive:

    девяностадвухнедельный, девяностадвухлетний
    other examples:
    двадцатипятиэтажный дом
    сорокасемилетний мужчина
    пятидесятитрёхстраничный рассказ
    сташестидесятисемитомный роман

So, you put the whole number into genitive, add a noun, form an adjective from it, and spell everything without spaces. It is the right way to use those combinations as adjectives.

Здравствуйте! Мы — наши туристы, отстали от группы. Подбросьте нас до города, а там мы как-нибудь уже сами! Переводи.

1-People from an Iraqi village have a reason to celebrate. >>
Людям есть что отметить/отпраздновать. Есть причина для праздника.

2-A woman and a man got married.

Одна женщина и один мужчина женились....
    женились/поженились

2-But the interesting thing is that the woman is seventy years younger than her man. >>

Но, что интересно, женщина на семьдесят лет моложе своего мужчины.

Но, что интересно, женщина на семьдесят лет более молода, чем её мужчина.

3-The 92-year-old man had a wife but she died and he became very lonely.

У девяностадвухлетнего мужчины была жена, но она умерла, и он стал очень одиноким.

4-The young woman is happy with the situation too and she believes that it is her fate to be with this man

Эта молодая женщина тоже рада своему положению, и она верит, что её судьба - быть с этим человеком.

Как-то так. Очень часто нет надобности переводить артикли The, A... Можно просто их опустить - смысл, во многих случаях, останется прежним. (можно и that, this и т.п. убирать, но не везде)
    То есть.
Молодая женщина тоже счастлива, и она верит, что её судьба - быть с этим мужчиной.
    Женщина и мужчина поженились.
