Thread: What a hot site

When the Russians get closer to the level of industrially developed countries and get accessible Internet to many (when & if), this place will be teeming with populace.
But, again, it will be English speaking population.
In general, I am glad to have found another piece of my mother-land, where I probably never return.

This place is mostly for foreigners learning Russian, though. Many Russians have Internet access nowadays already and not many come here because this site doesn't target them. Anyway, why did you say you'd never return to your-motherland?

To lay out in details why I won't - probably - go back to mother land is, maybe, not such difficult as to explain what is communism. As great philosophers Marx/Engels/Lenin envisaged it (don't mix up with fascists Stalin/Mao). However, it's my philosophy why I left and could be lengthy.
Still, I'll put it out in a few strokes. Pretty short.
- Russia, as a country, is a mess and without Any idea, plan, vision for future. Without any consolidating force within.
- Russia technologically is a developing country. South Korea is Much more advanced.
- Russia is designated by some quite influencial groups as a mine of resourses and not intellectual ones, in first place.
- English is an international language, even if it is far from perfect, and it is a fact.
This is not an attempt to discourage people from studying R. And to prompt others to run, either.
Russian culture used to be great. Natural resourses will be taken time to spoil and some people are very nice and thinking.

I prefer not to argue about this. You are right as far as you are concerned. You are wrong as far as some other people are concerned. Again, there's not going to be an argument about this cause I know where it leads to.
