Forum marks threads as read by itself

I'm not sure this has been addressed elsewhere yet. I have noticed that when I enter the forum, threads with new posts are marked as read, but after a short while of browsing the subforums or after writing a reply to a thread, then I find that everything else is somehow marked as read. That makes it very hard to find new posts.

Clicking on "new posts" also only shows posts written after the unintended "mark as read".

I've been having the same problem, too, but for some reason I just assumed there's something wrong with my browser's configuration.

I've changed the Thread/Forum Read Marking Type. Let me know if that helps.
Make sure to mark all forums read (at the bottom of the forum homepage) because activating this feature has marked many old posts as unread.

P.S. It worked well for me all the time and I use Google Chrome browser.

OK, I'll check it and let you know. Of course there needs to be a sufficient number of new posts first. I'm using Firefox in Linux by the way.
