    old US laws

This is some information I read in Russian newspaper "Мегаполис-Экспресс" about US laws:

In California since 1980 year public baths and saunas are not allowed because debaunchery prosper in them.

In Utah word "sex" is considered obscene.

In Florida women are not allowed to sing in swimsuits.

In Kentucky spouses may not to take bath together. And you can get fined if you have sex near by animals.

In Indiana you can get arrested for rape if a girl younger 17 is sitting in your car without hose or socks.

In Virginia citizens may not "love" each other nude.

In Montana a woman is not allowed to dance on a table if weight of her cloth is less than 1.5 kg.

In Minnesota a husband may not "love" his wife if he ate garlic, onion, beans or sardines.

And in Sent-Louise a fireman is not allowed to save nude women from fire.

I just want to ask: can it be true?

I think it's true. Someone pointed out (was it on this forum?) that most of these were probably made up by some judge or politician a couple hundred years ago who was angry with a person, let's say, who liked to sing wearing a swimsuit. This could be an easy way to put them in jail or make them fine.

I've also heard the reason that these laws are not removed (they are obviously completely useless) is that nobody cares about them, and thus it doesn't matter if they're still there. Removing them would just take an unnecessary amount of time and work.

Edit: changed "swim" to "sing." Swimming wearing a swimsuit sounded a bit less illegal to my ears.

In the small town I lived in in Missouri for awhile, it was on the town charter that no one could ride a horse through Main St. faster than 25 miles per hour. Obviously it was an outdated law, but my first question would have to be: how the heck did they measure speed limits back in those days?

Paris. If you drive through and reach down to get something under the seat you'll miss it entirely.
