is there a short hand version for the space bar, something like клавиша, or does that mean (computer) key :?:
We use "пробел" for "space bar" if that's what you mean.
Spacebar is "пробел" but it is not slang.
Мерси :!: my dictionary said a different word, infact there were two words, thats why i wanted to know if there was a shorter version

Some people use this slang word. Not that it's very common but when someone says it he/she will be understood.
I don't like slang and always say "материнская плата".
By the way, if ICQ is "Аська" then IRC would be "Ирка"…?
The C is soft in IRC. Wouldn't it be Аярси?

В оригинале, между прочим, было более сильное слово.

"Клёвый" is not a computer slang, it is a general slang word, dating back to 1970-s or 1960-s, when there was no "крутой" yet.
With the pace Russian slang changes it's hard to keep up. Крутой парень was more like a Wise guy and not a Kool guy ... That was more then 10 years ago. I'm sure Клас is still being used as cool by older generation. I'm sure Неформалы came up with some new definition of cool by now. Лихо has been used as cool at some point and Клёво has been resurrected by Generation X witch is the version I prefer my self. Клёво just sounds клёво :)
