How to get to the shops:

I am practising giving people directions. Is this correct?

выйдите из дома. поверните налево идите прямо до конца улицы. поверните направо потом идите прямо до моста. поверните направо. идите прямо до конца улицы. поверните налево. там есть центра и магазины.

Are there any mistakes? Reply in English please.

Everything is right, but "там есть центр". And small misunderstanding: this sentense means "there are center and shops" isn't it so? I think that center is a place that contains shops. So these things are not of the same type. Maybe you cannot put them together with "и"? In any case it looks not very good, but grammatically it is correct.

Actually, this is wrong: "там есть центра и магазины". The word "центр" will be "центры" in the plural.

    But you might say:

Там есть торговые центры и магазины.
There are trade centers (malls) and shops over there.

I'm not sure whether I am misunderstanding you or you me here. The center is the middle of a town isn't it? Like where most of the shops and the local gvt. buildings are? I was referring to an open space with a clock near the mall...is that incorrect usage?

In this case the sentence would be "Там находится центр города и магазины". But this sounds strange stylistically. I'd rather say "Там -- центр города и много магазинов".

"там есть центр и магазины" is not understood as the center of the city.

Еще это можно сказать так: там, в центре города, есть магазины.
