Can you give me a more reliable translation of what is said? Thanks.

Полгода я учила английский язык самостоятельно до поступления в университет. И в университете на протяжении 6 лет я ходила на поддерживающие курсы английского языка.

I had studied English by myself before entering in the university for half of year. And I had gone to the keeping English level courses for 6 years.

... в университете на протяжении шести лет, я ходила на поддерживающию курсы английского языка.
... in the university, during six years, I was taking supporting English courses.

I studied English for six months on my own before entering the university. And then for six years I took classes to maintain my English level.
