    Accent crossovers

Because I only know English as a fluent language I haven't had the chance to hear accents in other languages e.g English accents in Russian, German accents in Russian.

Is it easier to hear a Russian accent in an English accent or vice versa?

They say Russian-speaking English learners never loose their accent but is that the same for English-speaking Russian learners?

I've been wondering this for a while.
Please correct any Russian language mistakes I make.

The thing is that there are a lot less English-speaking Russian learners than vice versa...

I am not sure what you mean by "what is easier to hear". It depends on how well a particular person speaks. Most English native speakers who speak Russian do have a very noticeable accent, if that is what you were asking about.
And it is definitely quite possible to completely lose a foreign accent, both for Russians speaking English and for English (and other foreign language) speakers, speaking Russian. I have met a few people in both categories. It is not easy though and most people never get to that stage.
It is also possible to acquire a foreign accent in your native language if you live abroad long enough without talking to other expatriates.
