Per Evening Standard (a free paper that I read on my commute) Lushkov was corrupt, anti-gay, a supporter of Putin and an admirer of Stalin.
But based on what people have been saying here, that is true of most Russian politicians, and if that was grounds for getting sacked, then practically all politicans in Russia should be sacked!
So I guess Lushkov simply fell out with the wrong people!
Has he done any particularly good things for Moscow that you have noticed? Such as improve public transport and improve the housing situation...?
Was it good or bad that he got sacked?
PS - the paper "Evening Standard" (biggest tabloid in London) is actually owned by some kind of Russian oligarch, called Alexander Lebedev. There was quite a lot of talk about it when he bought this paper. Do you know anything about him?
