Interpol gets involved because the man met a couple of Swedish girls? Yeah, okay. I guess there are some secrets somebody doesn't want let out of the bag.
No charge, no nothing, no evidence. But, you can't let this organization let out secrets so who is involved and why? I think if you say or offer something the Government doesn't like, you better beware of the power they have to manipulate a story about you.
The whole thing is BS! Americans are being whipped up over this and Assange is NOT even an American. This whole thing is an embarrassment to Americans because the US is trying to extend US law to foreigners on foreign countries. The US is bullying other countries into helping them seek revenge on Assange.
The US has become the Big Brother of the world. This is the same as the US going after YOU or anyone here on this board who reposted any part of Wikileaks or even talked about what he knew about it to anyone in ANY place on Earth, and even if you did this from the South Pole or Tonga or Russia.
You could be sitting the Congo in your living room and be arrested for sharing what you knew, if the US government so decided. That's all Assange did!
This is more than embarrassing for Americans. USA government is making a mockery of the principles the country was founded on. Americans are letting the government sour and spoil their name. It is bad enough that the so called US government is trampling all over Americans Rights now with the Patriot Act and the DHS and the TSA, it is trampling all over foreigners overseas too.
The US government used to be only hated by the far far left. Now it is hated by most everyone from bumfuck Egypt to Kansas and on ahead to bumfuck Egypt again.
This monster needs to be controlled!
All Americans should be appalled at this, both Leftist and Right wingers. But I see Right wingers wanting to lynch Assange even though Right wingers believe that the US government is corrupt and unconstitutional. Doesn't make sense ! Well, it does when you realise that the US government and agencies like the CIA are being used by the International Banking Globalists. The CIA and US Military have become their "muscle".
No one has mentioned here yet but you should know that one of the women that is now saying that Assange raped her IS A KNOWN CIA ASSET!
Also, Assange is to release a dossier on the Banks and Financial institutions. That should be REAL interesting. Interesting enough to get Assange assassinated, since the CIA works for them.
Message to Americans: Don't be fooled into hating Assange. The USA ceased to exist as the Constitutional Republic that it was founded as a long time ago. THIS government should NOT be trusted with secrets!

I'd say all countries should submit to the will of the US. Let'em try to really rule the world... I'd give them about 10-15 years before things would start to fall apart. The higher they get now the lower they would fall later on.
We should declare war on US and immediately surrender. ))) Then hire lawers and demand equal rights.

I have changed my views too - but not so much my political views - more my views on Russia which I didn't know much about.
I think you are right about the US having gone down the drain: Essentially - Americans are tricked by media and propaganda to believe their country stands for great (although very vague) values such as freedom and democracy. While its' actual behaviour supports pretty much the opposite around the world, and while domestically, large corporations gain more and more influence and fund their excesses at the expense of the state/people. Seems that only a small minority of Americans have really noticed this - and the rest probably won't wake up and smell the coffee until they are dirt poor and thoroughly despised across the world. But there is great contemporary literature about all this by people like Naomi Klein, Noam Chomsky, Zlavoj Zizek, Derrick Jensen etc.
We in Europe are not far behind so I am certainly not pointing the finger.
One of the cool things about Russia is that nobody seems to believe a word of what media, the state, the church or anyone else says... hence; they have no illusions whatsoever; about their own country, politics or economics.
So am I right to think you changed your views, or did I just misunderstand you earlier?
For the record: I am Swedish and I read the blogs etc of these two girls when I started this thread. I honestly don't think either is a CIA spy. The main accuser is a pretty serious socialist; has been active in the Red movement since her early teens. Her friends say there is NO way she'd do anything for the CIA. Apparently she told her friends that she wanted to sleep with Assange because he was cool. Later she complained that he was in fact lousy in bed... but never about rape. The other girl also had some kind of hero crush on him. The first girl is a rather extreme feminist - and she's not even accusing Assange of rape per se; the accusation is about failure to use adequate protection. They whole incident is so ridiculous - the CIA would have done a much more thorough and convincing job if they really had set him up - which would have been super-easy from the sound of things.
There is always some risk for any person to get in trouble. And there are indirect ways to find such potentially troublesome situation, provoke it and control the process. That is what secret services must be able to do. Of course nobody came to a girl and say "I am Bond. James Bond. I'll pay you $1e6 if you will accuse that guy". But for example, she could occasionally find or hear something that makes her mad about that guy. Or find a clue how to became a celebrity (if that is what she dreamed of) etc. etc. Conspiracies are delicate matter. :DQuote:

At the Swedish chick: There is a difference between a CIA Intelligence Officer and a CIA Asset. If she was an Asset she may not have even known what she was playing with.
I have not changed my politics. I support the American Constitution. I doubt that Bush or Obama care about that. I believe that the USA and the world is run by unseen and powerful people who come from different countries and operate to fulfill an agenda so hideous that the average person would not believe. Several US presidents over the years have said this exact same thing. People like your Noam Chomsky are part of this agenda whether he knows his part of not. The US forces are currently being used as the muscle men by these Powerful Banksters and such, to accomplish certain ends. The Norm Chomskies of the world have a different part in this but they are on the same team in the big picture. Perhaps he is just a useful idiot.
Under the true Constitution of the US, the US could not act the way she is right now. The ONLY way that this situation can be fixed is by the average people waking up and going to the White House (like they are in Egypt right now) But this is not happening in the USA because of the Chomskies in the media/education/entertainment/government complex who have been busy indoctrinating the people to think in an opposite way about themselves than their forefathers did.
The US government largely has gone rogue, so I can not support their clandestine efforts. Bush/Clinton/Obama/McCain/republican/democrat.....they are all the same, in that they will all take the US to the same destination. The only difference is the speed that they will travel. It is a sick game that is played upon the American people. But it is not just the American people the game is played on. The same game is being played by all the Western countries on their people. The difference is that Americans actually have a legal document to hold up to their government that spells out the crimes committed by the government. This is the US Constitution.
I predict that sooner or later the people will hold this document up to the government. The government will refuse the document, and there will be civil war or some type of insurrection over it in the USA after the government restricts even more constitutional rights (for the "safety" of the people). When this happens the Noam Chomskies will try to convince the people that the Constitutionalists are their enemy, "terrorists" and such and that the bad apples in the government are their friends.
The US Constitution is a two edged sword! One side ensures that Individual Rights are not infringed by government.
The other side ensures that if the government does step across the line, eventually people use the document as the moral and legal right to overthrow the government. Europeans don't have this situation. This the reason that the Right to bare arms is in the Constitution. Expect trouble ahead in the USA.
So, what if Assange is a Leftie. I hope he exposes all the frauds he can in the banking industry and the truth about the Central Banks that are really making foreign policy in all nations today.

Apparently she was 'disappointed' that Assange wasn't serious about their 'relationship'. Hence the accusation. What woman of 28 doesn't know that in order for a man to take you seriously, you don't just jump in bed with him the first time you meet him?! They just talk a bit in general support of multiculturalism/antiracism, human rights, feminism and 'inclusiveness (i.e of homosexuals). Basically this organisation is nothing more radical than the standard "PC" agenda, but with red banners and a bit of marching on 1 May. Blah! She was initially painted in media as quite a revolutionary - but this was definitely not true.
I really don't know what to make of this but it's a real FAIL for Sweden however you look at it! I:fool"f the CIA did orchestrate it (which I am not convinced off) they they really have a sixth sense. Creepy, creepy!

Up until recently I have always felt quite proud of my nationality (Swedish).
But right now I am just feeling pretty miserable about it.
Assange affair.... The excellent welfare state that I grew up with, is slowly being sold off or wittering away. There'll probably be nothing left by the time I need it. Sweden spying on Russia in lots of different ways and sharing the info with the USA, despite being "neutral" (several examples of this)... Pathetically failed immigration politics, Illegal Pirate Bay raid at the orders of the USA, Our traditional culture and European culture giving way for trashy junk culture on all fronts.... ETC! What an allround degeneration.
Seems the only countries where things are getting better are those Arab countries where they are having revolutions... Because in Europe things sure ain't getting better!
There's nothing wrong about being Swedish, or Russian, or even American. The mere fact that you live (or lived) in the country doesn't associate you with those who make decisions. If I was ashamed of being Russian every time I was ashamed for my government I would have ended up in a psychiatric asylum by now.
