Russia set to sign Kyoto Protocol

Isn't it sad that the USA and Australia can't ratifie the Kyoto Protocol, and yet a nation that is still in a fair amount of trouble can.

Well done Putin, and well done Russia !!!

Well in a way I guess George Bush isn't the mose environmentally aware person. Take a look at Texas' air quality if you know what I mean. I guess the Democrats will be more willing to sign on than the Republicans and now that Russia has signed on, USA may also sign on because it will mean less of an economic disadvantage. Don't forget China and many other developing nations also haven't.

It doesn't matter. Australia has already signed it, as has the USA. What they haven't done is ratifie it. When Russia Ratifies it will mean that the Kyoto Protocol is law for the counties that have signed it, and that counties that did sign it will be subject to punishment (Financial) when it does become law as far as I understand.

Speaking of which, I'm glad that jackass' plan to drill in the Arctic Wildlife Reserve was struck down the other day.

Why should they drill Alaska? They have Iraq now. I just hope they keep France, Germany and Russia out of Iraq. How dare they say it is their business when they have not participated one bit in liberating Iraq.

I've noticed that part of Americas rebuilding of iraq involves a single privet company that will be hired by the USA to rebuild. I bet if you dig into the company that will be doing the rebuild, the director or manager will be one of mr bushes mates.

Close, z80. According to The Guardian, the companies that were chosen to bid on the $900m project all contributed to the GOP campaigns, curiously enough.
