Thread: Russia Elections---Chairman Of The Commision Fills The Ballots..

I just saw this video on the news..supposedly some man is caught filling out the ballots..What do you think of it? Also would you be so kind as to translating the video for me? It would be really helpfull..Just write down what is said in russian then in english..спасибо!

I read about this incident in a Swedish paper. The header was "The Russians want their country back". It was a really touching article actually. Also, apparently several people in Russia had discovered pre-filled voting papers, filmed it and posted it online. People were so outraged that the biggest demonstration in the history of modern Russia had taken place. It was a really well written article actually. If this is true, it is an outrage.

What do you think people will do? Will there be a Russian spring, or is that too cheezy and unrealistic (it doesn't seem like Egypt and the other actually achieved much in the end....)

If Russia is going to be some sort of dictatorship I guess we simply have to cross our fingers and hope it'll remain peaceful and that it will look after its citizens. Pretty discouraging situation...

I hope it won't. The biggest demonstration in Moscow involved about 25000 people and was peaceful. Moscow has more than 10 000 000 inhabitants, so the demonstration isn't that great.There were harsher protests in 2005
because of the monetization of benefits. There were very big demonstrations and strikes in 1990s, but Yeltsin managed to keep the power despite being very unpopular.

No one wants yet another Russian revolition. I think if the authorities aren't stupid then people will be heard.

p.s. How difficult it's become to type posts here. The cursor is disappearing all the time, especially when arrow kyes are pressed.

I would be a lot more surprised if elections in Russia were honest.
