I'm just wondering if you as a russian member are forced to do military service because the only i know about that is you as a russian member doesn't need to do it if you want.

We are, but most of the conscripts seek and find ways to avoid military service, by bribe or by health condition.
Every able-bodied male theoretically is obliged by law to join the Army at the age of 18 (and up to 27) for 2 years. (there are some variations and some exceptions but generally it is so).Quote:

Or you may go working in some government agency for cents but with no headache about army life.
You may also go to alternative civilian service (as medical aid in hospitals for example)
You may bribe your enlistment officer.

I know. But I keep stumbling on Government instead of State (mostly in american texts) because there is difference between Government Institution and State Institution for obvious reasons.Quote:

Ok,but was the military camp a hell or not?
In west europe we see Russian military as a pain with no able to leave it.
Nothing of that. We just stayed there for two months doing a lot of things related to a hard physical labor.Quote:
