I am sorry the subject is incorrect but
I can not correct it.

The correct subject is Я попил чаю и смотрел телевизор.

Я попил чаю и смотрел телевизор.

Which of the following are possible as the interpretation of the above sentence?
1) I drank tea then watched TV.
2) I watched TV then I drank tea.
2) I drank tea and watched TV during the same period.
3) While I was watching TV, I drank tea. ( The time I spent on drinking is shorter than the time I spent on watching TV.)

If there are other possibilities, please explain.

Я пил чай и смотрел телевизор I was watching TV and drinking tea.
Я попил чай и посмотрел телевизор I drank tea and watched (then) TV. Like in English we usually place the actions which go first before the actions that go after.

The first one is closest.

"попил" is perfective, "смотрел" is imperfective, so the drinking was already completed at the moment in the past, when you was watching TV.

The sentence Я попил чаю и смотрел телевизор is simply wrong.

The sentence is ambiguous. One should be more explicit:
Я попил чаю и пошёл смотреть телевизор. (tea first, then TV, all in the past)
Я попил чаю и смотрю телевизор (tea in the past, "смотрю телевизор" is like present continuous )

Я попил чаю и принялся смотреть телевизор. ??
