"тысячью": to me it is just a wrong form. The instrumental "тысячей" can be transformed to "тысячею" (as a more archaic or poetic version), but in no way it can become "тысячью". It just sounds as if someone mixed declension types: ночь -> ночью, but туча -> тучей (or тучею).
