Does the word "содержанка"
a) always have a sexual connotation
b) usually have a sexual connotation
c) really just depends -- sometimes yes, sometimes no

The english translation is a "kept woman;" a term I'm not familiar with, which is then given the synonym of "mistress, adultress" (not хозяйка). The definition for kept woman seems to be someone who is provided for by another -- in a sexual relationship. Could this also ostenibly be non-sexual, however -- a man who takes pity on a woman, or someone who supports a dead friend's wife, etc?
