Thread: скуряца

What does this word mean? I hear it clearly and read some times (not many) in the net; it will be somewhat colloquial. The context is as follows:
A wife refuses moving to another town and her husband (who is pro) says:
"I coudn't wait a direct скуряца from you!".

As for me, this is just a random set of letters

I tryed to type «скуряца» in Google search, and all examples that I saw were misspeled «скурятся» («они скурятся» — they will ruin themselves by smoking), which is analog to «сопьются» («они сопьются» — they will become drunkards).

In the situation you mentioned, husband can say «Я не собираюсь ждать твоего разрешения!» (I'm not going to wait your permission for that!)

There is no such a word in Russian. Your sentence has no any possible meaning with this word.

The only meaning I can imagine is some illiterate slang derived from "курить" - "to smoke".
Они скуряца - The smoking will make them down. / The smoking will finish them.

There are a number of words which may sound alike (in some forms) but no one seems to match the context.

For example "курица" = chick/hen.
