    Well, maybe, her glasses flashed because her eyes had flashed with anger or something else first . That's why Kivinov had realized that's a quarell with her was inevitable and was just about to break out

    That is a kind of wordplay. There is a bookish cliche: "она сверкнула очами" - "her eyes flashed".
    "Россия для русских" - это неправильно. Остальные-то чем лучше?
