But don't forget the reflexive одеться, "to get dressed; to dress oneself." Thus:

Надежда оделась. = Nadezhda got dressed.
Надежда надела одежду. = Nadezhda put on clothes.
Мама одела Надежду. = Mom dressed Nadezhda.

Though the meaning is slightly different, all of these have the same result:

Надежда одета. = Nadezhda is dressed. (She is not naked; OR She is not in only underwear.)

And to show the antonyms for одеть(ся):

Мама раздела Надежду. = Mama undressed Hadezhda.
Надежда разделась. = Nadezhda got undressed.
Надежда раздета. = Nadezha is undressed. (she's naked, or only in underwear)

BUT, the antonym for надеть одежду is снимать/снять одежду. Thus:

Надежда сняла юбку. = Nadezhda took off her skirt.
