What's the meaning of this word in the following sentence?

Даже если бы они оказались результативными, неизвестно, сколько бы времени прошло до того момента, когда новый глава сирийского государства добился бы настолько неприкасаемого авторитета, что смог бы воплотить в жизнь решения, подписанные его отцом.

In your text "untouchable" is an adjective modifying "authority" and the authority being discussed is a new chapter of the Syrian state, so I think the following definition applies:

It doesn't sound right. I bet, author meant, "непререкаемого авторитета."
