She bought some kind of German camera.
мои переводы:
Она купила какой-то немецкий фотоаппарат.
или
Она купила какой-то немецкого фотоаппарат. (some kind of - genetive?)

На какой перевод правильный? (Which translation is correct?)

Она купила какого-то немецкий фотоаппарат. Would this sentence then be correct?

Well, not really no.

какой, немецкий and фотоаппарат are all going to have to agree with each other since they're being described by the first two words.

Она купила это, какой-то немецкий фотоаппарат. Но честно не знаю какой именно.

She bought like some kind of German camera. Really though, I don't know what kind exactly.

Она купила какого-то немецкого фотоаппарата.
As it is some kind of camera, I try to fit it into the genetive case, but I'm not certain.

The last try of yours is not correct. It seems you want to make the photocamera animate, when it`s definitley not.

You are getting confused because in English the word 'of' is used and you are thinking that means the genitive must therefore be used in Russian. This is not the case.

какой-то itself means 'some kind of'.
