Please help to proof read my commentary for the exam which I've put into the file at the above site. I really hope you can comment on it, especially on the following:
To say the truth, "комментарий в автобусе" doesn't sound fine... "Комментарий" is a wrong word here. Maybe "обращение к группе туристов" is ok. If you need the word автобус at any cost... Maybe there's a better word than обращение, I just can't find it right now :)Quote:

"И наконец" sounds very bookish here. Say better "кроме того".
Better omit "дня". It's obvious that it's not night. And, if you say "два часа дня", it's okay, but "... минут дня" sounds a bit odd.

If the coin is not very small, say better "монету", not "монетку". (Sorry, I thought it was small).

My exam involves actually giving a "running commentary" of the sights which we will be going to or passing by during the examination. As the routing of the bus is not disclosed, I've decided to play it safe by preparing a sort of orientation briefing instead of a running commentary. That's because my Russian is still not up to that level yet, as to be able to provide a running commentary. And we are expected to end the commentary with a song. Hopefully, I'm able to "fool" the examiner. :twisted:Quote:

Thank you so much for correcting my many mistakes and the very valuable suggestions. Now I think I'm ready to face the exam. :)Quote:

Last but not least. Until now, nobody corrected that Куала-Лумпур is written with the hyphen. All multiword geographical names which are not Russian are written like that.
Wow, what do you know, I don't even know how to spell the name of my city in Russian properly. Thanks Rtyom.Quote:
