Thread: колбасить

What does колбасить mean? (I've heard it a few times and I can't find a definition). Thanks.

It can mean a few things. I think its mostly Angry/ Pissed off.

Ну а меня колбасит!
Im just really pissed off!

But it can also mean any other overflow of emotion, like...

It's something like "to feel pleasure", "ловить кайф".
For example:
Они были на дискотеке, и их колбасило - they were at a party and felt pleasure.

1) колбасить/заколбасить - to play excitedly, disorderly; horseplay

-дети до сих пор колбасят, спать не ходят.
-The children are still horsing around and don't want to go to sleep.

2) колбасить/наколбасить - to do something poorly, carelessly

-что ты тут наколбасил, ну, кто так работает!
-What a mess you've made there! That's no way to work!

3) колбасить/приколбасить - to go

-только к вечеру мы приколбасили домой.
-It was getting towards evening by the time we went home.

Wouldn't worry too much about this word, people just have fun with the way it sounds and use in the meaning they want.

I would add another meaning to the ones mentioned by others - beat up someone.

Они его так откалбасили, что он еле до дома дошёл.

The origin of the word is from колбаса - sausage.
